Margie Brown is the president and chief executive officer of CIRI. Brown is a Yup'ik Eskimo originally from Takotna, Alaska, has many years of service with the company. She currently serves on the boards The Trust for Public Land, the Anchorage Museum Foundation and the Alaska Chapter of The Nature Conservancy. Her community activities also include serving on the advisory boards of the UAA Honors College and Alaska Airlines. Ms. Brown is a 1982 YWCA Woman of Achievement Award recipient and a 2007 Athena Award recipient. She received her Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Oregon and her Master of Business Administration from the University of Colorado.
