DESCRIPTION:The National Security Council (NSC)\, in coordination with the U.S. Department of the Interior (Interior)\, is hosting Tribal and Alaska Native Corporation consultations regarding the development of a new U.S. government strategy for the Arctic. The strategy will update the 2013 National Strategy for the Arctic Region and will similarly address security and international governance\, economic\, and environmental issues in both the domestic and foreign policy arenas. \nNSC and Interior are hosting two sessions\, one for tribal organizations\, and another for Alaska Native Corporations. SUMMARY:Department of Interior Tribal Consultations Part One: FY22-26 Strategic Plan
DESCRIPTION:The U.S. Department of the Interior (DOI) is hosting a series of government-to-government Tribal and Alaska Native Corporation (ANC) consultation sessions to help inform the development of the Department’s Fiscal Year 2022-2026 Strategic Plan (Strategic Plan). \nThe DOI Strategic Plan will outline the goals and objectives of the Secretary of the Interior\, strategies to accomplish those goals\, and performance measures to track the progress of the plan. The strategic plan will also identify key risks\, establish plans to mitigate risks\, and build evidence to help achieve the Department’s goals.
