Anchorage, AK: At a press conference today, the Alaska Federation of Natives (AFN) discussed the recent endorsement of Senator Begich and the Walker/Mallott unity ticket. The press conference opened with AFN President Julie Kitka and AFN Co-Chair Ana Hoffman with an overview of highlights from the 2014 Annual AFN Convention, the AFN resolution process, get out the vote activities, including the AFN voter guide, and the importance of informed voters.

AFN encourages each Alaskan to exercise his or her right to vote. Regardless of your individual party affiliation and opinion on issues and candidates, voting has a powerful impact on the direction of public policy and issues that affect our different communities. You can vote early this weekend at Division of Elections regional offices, in Anchorage, Fairbanks, Juneau, Nome and Wasilla. Regional offices will be open on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday noon to 4 p.m.
